Tomahawk Lighthouse

The lighthouse was orginally built in the 1900s and was opereated until 1962. The Pentney Family moved the lighthouse to mainland and has restored the building. Go back in time to the days of the steamboat or climb the stairs for a breathtaking view of Lake of the Woods. Open May to September by appointment only.

Barwick Lighthouse

 The lighthouse is located on the Rainy River.    

 ONE ROOM SCHOOL

     

 Harris Hill -

SS Spohn

  The S.S. Spohn one room schoolhouse is complete with slate chalk boards and wooden school desks that once held ink bottles for students to practise writing the alphabet, reading and schoolwork. Open by appointment

 Rainy River -

Railroad 4008 Heritage Museum

The Railroad Steam Engine 4008 Sante Fe class T-1 with attached baggage car and caboose sit by the Ontario Tourism Bureau on Hwy 11. The baggage car holds artifacts of the era.
